Qualifications in Children’s Care, Learning and Development

We offer all the elements of a City and Guilds Apprenticeship (level 2) and Advanced Apprenticeship (level 3). These are work based qualifications consisting mainly of an NVQ, a technical certificate of underpinning knowledge and an appropriate level of Key Skills (communication and application of number) Apprenticeships can generally be provided at no cost to employer or learner: we can also offer NVQs and technical certificates as standalone units. In addition, we offer the new level 3 certificate in the Early Years Foundation Stage and a level 4 qualification for team leaders and managers.

Courses in early years practice and management

We offer individual courses aimed at Early Years Practitioners in areas such as paediatric first aid, basic food hygiene, health & safety, behaviour management, equal opportunities and many others. We also run workshops for early years managers on topics such as starting a new daycare setting, effective credit control, raising finance, financial planning, nursery vouchers and handling early years education grant.

Qualifications in Leadership and Management

We provide all the training, support, materials and assessment to enable learners to obtain ILM awards and certificates at level 2 (team leading) and level 3 (first line management). These are suitable for new or aspiring managers in any sector (including, but certainly not limited to, early years)
