First, all of us – directors and staff – believe in quality and customer service and want to make PBD the best. We respond quickly, we keep promises and we don’t overload assessors to breaking point.
Secondly, we make good use of technology. You don’t have to file hundreds of sheets of paper in a ring binder and bring it to every visit. You aren’t left in the lurch if your assessor is ill and has to cancel a planned visit. And you don’t have to attend classes on Saturday mornings.
Instead, we use e-portfolios. All your evidence is stored in a secure, personal, web space, where you can see your progress at a glance. Because this is electronic, you can upload photographs, voice recordings, even video clips, as well as pages of writing. You can upload a piece of work one day and have feedback from your assessor almost immediately, instead of having to wait weeks for a visit.
