Sam Webster
Sam, who is based in Nottingham, has spent her career so far in Childcare and undertook her Level 5 in Leadership for the Children and Young People’s Workforce. Before joining PBD, Sam was the Ofsted and EYFS Compliance Officer for a nationwide out of school childcare provider for several years.  She has recently undertaken an assessing qualification and now works full time for PBD, building our delivery of qualifications in the East Midlands.
Nikki Selvey
Sonya Kinsella
Sonya, who is based on the Wirral, spent much of her career in customer service before undertaking a degree in Early Childhood Studies in 2007 and moving into work with young children.  Immediately before joining PBD, Sonya was an EYFS practitioner in a school based early years setting.  She has recently undertaken an assessing qualification and now works part time for PBD, helping us to develop our presence in the North West.
Rosie Barrett
Rosie has worked in childcare since 1999 and has had wide experience in day nurseries, preschools and as a nanny, in England, Australia and Chile.  She also taught English to children in a school in Spain.  Since returning to England in 2006, Rosie has worked as a childcare assessor in the north of England.  Now based in Norfolk, Rosie works part time for PBD as a tutor/assessor.
Emma Edwards
Emma is part of the dedicated team of PBD assessors for PBD, and is on hand to support our learners both in their workplace during regular visits and at home via our innovative e-learning website.

Emma began her early years journey as a nursery assistant in 2000, gaining a number of early years qualifications throughout her progressive career, and was most recently a Nursery Manager for a large group of nurseries before joining the PBD team.

Jane Spinner
Higher Education Co-ordinator
Jane is an assessor and internal verifier and has worked for PBD since the company started.  Her career has been varied; from being a nanny both in the UK and the Far East, running a large play scheme  for children aged 5-12, deputy officer in charge at a day nursery, helping at a local primary school and working as an assessor, verifier and assistant training manager at a large national provider.  She has recently achieved a BA (Hons) degree in Early Childhood Studies.
Vicki Arnold
Vicki has had a variety of roles in the early years sector.  Starting  in a nursery at the age of 16, she was  offered a permanent job and obtained her qualification.  Vicki spent time as a nanny, both in England and travelling abroad, before returning to nurseries and also working in a high school before moving into assessing.  She qualified as an assessor in 2006 and has subsequently completed a playwork qualification and an internal verifier award.  Vicki has worked for PBD since 2009 and finds each day different.  Like her colleagues, she prides herself on quality assessing and on meeting the individual needs of learners.
Rachel Wilson
Rachel, who is based in Essex, completed a BTEC National Diploma in Early Years and worked for a large chain of nurseries, starting as a nursery nurse and progressing to nursery manager. Rachel has been working as an assessor for PBD since November 2008.  As well as looking after her learners, Rachel supports the development of IT and social media within the company.
Kirsty Rennie
Kirsty qualified in early years in 1995, and has wide ranging experience including nursery management and outreach work for Sure Start.  She qualified as an assessor in 2002 while managing a nursery for a large chain.  Kirsty continues to keep her CPD up to date and has many qualifications within her area of expertise: she is currently training in quality assurance.   Kirsty joined PBD as she shared its passion for quality training and innovative delivery of qualifications through modern technology.  Kirsty covers learners in the south of England.
Zoe Ashe
Zoe began her career in 1993, successfully completing the NNEB. Since then she has continued to update her knowledge, working in childcare settings and undertaking CPD.  In 2004 Zoe took on a management role with a large nursery chain.   She also acted as an “in house” assessor before taking a full time assessing role at a local college.  Having always been interested by the use of e-portfolios and the use of technology, she joined PBD 2008 to PBD.  She works as an assessor and IV for early years and enjoys working within a team that is innovative in their approach and delivery of early years training.
Heidi Andrews
Heidi joined PBD in 2012 and is a tutor/assessor who seeks to ensure that her learners get the best experience from their training and learning.  She joined the company following eight years of service with Suffolk County Council, where she started as a Business Support Assistant in the Children and Young People’s team before moving into a Family Support role.  In 2008 she moved to the local Children’s Centre as Support and Information Officer and progressed to be a First Steps to Play worker, delivering services and play opportunities for children 0-5 years to the local communities.  Heidi assesses qualifications at levels 2 and 3 for the Children and Young People’s Workforce, Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, Business Administration and Customer Service.
Marios Avraam
Marios Avraam has worked with children and young people for over 25 years, promoting excellence and positivity through the various sites he has managed as well as the music projects he has been involved in.  He is an experienced assessor and internal verifier in play work, childcare and youth work. He is a qualified trainer with QTLS Status and is currently in his final year completing the BA in childcare and youth.  He is also passionate about football, music and music production and was part of the winning team that won the Queens Silver Jubilee award for best community radio station in 2007.   Marios joined PBD in 2009 and  is the lead professional in playwork for the company, as well as being a tutor/assessor in early years.
Helen Mitchison
Helen is a qualified assessor with a wide knowledge and experience in the early years sector gathered in over 20 years of practice, during which time she gained her level 4 qualification. Helen has worked in a range of early years settings and schools  not only in England but also in  France and Germany.  Helen currently supports and assesses learners for level 2 and 3 qualifications in the Children and Young People’s Workforce and Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
